A new community just south of Spruce Meadows is counting down to its first look at some of the homes it can provide.
Four duplex show homes will be unveiled in early August in Pine Creek, a master-planned southwest Calgary community by Anthem United.
The duplex segment, offered by Morrison Homes and Shane Homes, starts in the $318,000s, including lot and GST.
Morrison’s show homes will be the 1,529-square-foot Beckett and 1,576-square-foot Lola, and Shane’s will be the 1,553-square-foot Eden III and the Vista III, which is 1,631 square feet. They each have three bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms.
Single-family show homes by Sterling Homes and Trico Homes will open later this summer, too. Prices on front-drive single-family homes start in the upper-$400,000s.
Streetscapes in Pine Creek will see architectural styles, including Craftsman, Arts and Crafts, Prairie, and Modern Farmhouse.
Once built out, the community is expected to be home to about 3,000 people.
Pine Creek can be accessed by taking 194th Avenue S., through the community of Belmont, or via Sheriff King Street and left onto 210th Avenue.
This well-connected location will help make Pine Creek a draw, says Megan Starke, marketing manager for Anthem United.
“Pine Creek is perfectly positioned in the area west of Macleod Trail,” she says. “It’s an area that people have been waiting to come on, and we’re really excited that we’re bringing on now our third community in the area.”
The developer’s other work on this end of Calgary include the communities of Belmont and Sirocco at Pine Creek.
“Pine Creek will be great because it has that access from 210th, up Sheriff King, we have 194th (Avenue) right near by — so they have great access points to not only get them to their everyday needs, but also get them to those great outdoor moments where they can make some memories,” says Starke.
“We have Fish Creek (Provincial Park) nearby, we’re right near the Foothills, so they can get out and do a hike with their family, they can enjoy activities at Spruce Meadows, check out the new Cavalry FC, go golfing,” she adds. “Really, it’s just a perfectly positioned community to get you outside.”
For golf, the closest option is the Sirocco Golf Club, which is just west of the new community.
The community has inviting outdoor spaces, itself, with plans for three parks, a wetland, and storm pond.
