Police are still looking for the vandal(s) who wreaked havoc on a citizen patrol vehicle last month.

In the overnight hours of Aug. 15, “unknown culprits attended the parking area of the McLelland arena in Copper Cliff and caused damage to a Citizens on Patrol vehicle,” Crime Stoppers said in a release. “The vehicle was found to have had most of its windows broken.”

Citizens on Patrol (COPs) are volunteers who rely on the vehicle to patrol the community and report suspicious or criminal behaviour.

“They provide additional eyes and ears to the police,” the release notes. “The loss of use of this vehicle was quite consequential for them.”

The COPs program would be grateful for any information that may lead to finding this culprit.

You can call Crime Stoppers toll-free at 1-800-222-tips or locally at 705-222-tips (8477).
