Rockwood Festival entry forms due Jan. 31

The 65th annual Rockwood Festival Of The Arts will take place at various locations throughout Stonewall and another location in Teulon from April 14 to 29.

Just like in previous years, there will be six classes in this year’s event: Piano, Choral, Speech Arts, Dance, School Band/Instrumental and Vocal. The Piano class will take place inside Stonewall United Church from April 14 to 17 and will be followed by the School Band/Instrumental class inside the band room at Stonewall Collegiate Institute on April 17. The Dance class will be held inside Teulon Collegiate Institute on April 18 and 19. The Choral Group class will take place at both Stonewall United Church and the Stonewall Quarry Park Heritage Arts Centre on April 20 and 21.

New Life Church east of Stonewall will host the Vocal class on April 25 and the Royal Canadian Legion Stonewall Branch No. 52 will be the venue for the Speech Arts class on April 29.

Entry forms for the festival are due on Jan. 31. All entries and fees should be in a sealed envelope marked “Rockwood Festival Entries” and can be dropped off or mailed to the Interlake School Division, 192 2nd Ave. North, Stonewall, Man., R0C 2Z0. Submitting entries by fax or electronically are not allowed.
