On Wednesday at 5:30 a.m., members from the Nipissing West detachment of the OPP responded to a single motor-vehicle collision on the off-ramp to Highway 144 from Highway 17, near Lively.
Preliminary investigation revealed the tractor-trailer was southbound on Highway 17 and subsequently rolled over after exiting onto the off-ramp to proceed northbound on Highway 144.
The driver and lone occupant was not injured. The tractor-trailer was hauling non-hazardous materials, which remain intact. The driver was charged with careless driving.
